EXPLORE NEW MAPS, PLAY WITH THE CRYSTAL PYRAMID, AND USE THE NEW HELIODORE AND HEMATITE TILES
The gameplay of Kemet: The Gates of Thonis is significantly ex panded upon through its new features. The centerpiece is the new City of Thonis map, which introduces the unique Crystal Pyramid mechanic: a structure that grows each round and dictates the dramatic final round upon its completion. Controlling the Crystal Pyramid provides a major strategic advantage, allowing players to purchase Power Tiles from any of the colored pyramid boards, regardless of their position on the map. Further augmenting strategic options are two brand-new tile sets, the Heliodore (yellow) and Hematite (gray), each adding 16 unique Power Tiles and 3 Game Up tiles to the game’s arsenal. Finally, the Green tiles from Book of the Dead are being completely reworked, refreshing their ancient power with new mechanics and stunning illustrations.
What's new:
The expansion introduces two new battlefields: The Renewed Battlefield, an updated and more furious version of the classic map usable for both 6-player and an intense 3-god Battle Mode, and The City of Thonis, an all-new 2-6 player map. The City of Thonis features the unique Crystal Pyramid mechanic, which escalates the game each round, culminating in a dramatic final round once the structure is complete. Controlling this centerpiece grants a powerful advantage, allowing players to purchase from any of the colored pyramid boards regardless of their current position.
In addition to the maps, The Gates of Thonis brings two brand-new tile sets: the radiant Heliodore (yellow) and the formidable Hematite (gray). Each set provides an arsenal of 16 unique Power Tiles plus 3 Game Up tiles and corresponding exquisite miniatures, promising unprecedented strategic depth and visual flair. Furthermore, the classic Green tiles from Book of the Dead are being meticulously reworked and reimagined with entirely new, breathtaking illustrations to refresh their ancient power.
