Timespan is a streamlined civilization game where players pair one of six asymmetric civilizations with one of six technology boards, then recruit from 175 historic persons, buildings, technologies, and wonders to lead their civilization from the stone age to the space age. The focus is exploration and economic engine-building, with the action phase played simultaneously.
