Pegasus Spiele releases the Talisman Adventures Fantasy Roleplaying Game
Friedberg, 11-26-2020: Pegasus Spiele is excited to announce the release of the Talisman Adventures Fantasy Roleplaying Game – a new roleplaying game set in the world of Talisman: The Magical Quest Game. Talisman Adventures allows players to explore the world of Talisman in new ways, creating their own characters and telling their own stories. For the Talisman Adventures Fantasy Roleplaying Game the game board has been set aside, replaced by a map, dice, and players´ imagination. Players can now forge their destiny and discover the world on their terms. Players begin their adventures as any of ten classes (assassin, druid, minstrel, priest, prophet, scout, sorcerer, thief, warrior, or wizard) and seven ancestries (elf, dwarf, human, ghoul, leywalker, troll, and sprite).
The Talisman Adventures rules are fast-paced and easy to learn and feature the new 3D Adventures rules set. With these rules, the players take the lead and determine the action as their characters explore magical new lands, encounter enigmatic strangers, and do battle against terrible monsters. The core rulebook provides a multitude of enemies, strangers, followers, mysterious locations, and magic items to include in the adventures. Forbidden knowledge and fabulous treasures–perhaps even the fabled Talisman of the Great Wizard–await the daring and heroic.
Besides the basic version there will also be a limited edition. Both editions are hardcover books divided into two sections: the Player’s Guide and the Game Master’s Guide. The Player’s Guide section is dedicated to players. It contains the basic rules of play, rules for character creation (including ancestries and classes), equipment lists, spells, and an in-depth look at the history and geography of the Realm–the setting for the Talisman Adventures Fantasy Roleplaying Game. The second section, the Game Master’s Guide, is full of information important to the Game Master. This book contains advice on storytelling, information on Allies and Followers, rules for exploration, tons of Enemies, magic items, and details on rewards and character advancement. There are also some optional rules for expanding how to play the game, and the appendices feature lots of charts and tables for random encounters for Strangers, enemies, and interesting locations. In the back of the book, players will also find Light and Dark Fate tokens character sheets, and six pre-gen characters. It also includes a short, starting adventure, Death’s Messenger, so that players can jump right into the action.

At the upcoming online convention CONspiracy 4, 27 - 29 November 2020, the Talisman Adventures Fantasy Roleplaying Game will also be in the spotlight. In addition to further digital board games on Tabletopia, there will be demo rounds for the Talisman Adventures Fantasy Roleplaying Game and a livestream with guests like Talisman RPG designer Ian Lemke (Saturday 06:30 p.m.) and the creator of Talisman, Robert Harris (Friday 05:00 p.m.).
