From Dusk till Midnight

Pegasus Spiele publishes new games for children and the whole family: Racoon Robbers and Midnight Market

Friedberg, Apr. 19, 2022: In April, Pegasus Spiele released Racoon Robbers, another family game by successful game designer Klaus-Jürgen Wrede after Fire & Stone was published at the beginning of the year. The children’s games’ wizarding world also receives a newcomer with Midnight Market.

Protected by the dusk, wild gangs of raccoons roam around the city looking for food: In Raccoon Robbers, two to four players aged eight and up let their raccoons climb 3D-houses by playing certain cards. If there isn’t space, they will shove opposing raccoons out of the way – possibly causing a chain reaction and making additional raccoons tumble down! For risky jumps, players receive points they can use to move the boss of their gang who is waiting in the backyard. The first player to reach the golden trash can with their raccoon boss wins this entertaining family game, which features quick turns, lots of interaction and charming raccoon illustrations by Dennis Lohausen. At the beginning of the year, another game by successful game designer Klaus-Jürgen Wrede was published by Pegasus Spiele – Fire & Stone. In an interview with the Pegasus Spiele-Blog he talks about the development of the two family games.

The Midnight Market is taking place again, but only adult witches, magicians, and ghosts are allowed to attend! Wonderful delicacies, magical pets, and the rare Vanishing Stars ghosts use to make themselves invisible can be acquired only at the Midnight Market. Dressed up as ghosts, the wizardry students sneak into the market. The player whose turn it is, throws a die with coloured sides and moves any ghost of the colour they roll. At the beginning of the game, the two to four players do not know which ghosts belong to their team and which belong to their opponents’ teams as team numbers are hidden away on the bottom side of the ghost figures. Whenever two ghosts meet in front of a market booth, their identities are revealed and their teams receive one magic chip each. If both ghosts belong to the same team, the player accordingly receives two of the sought-after chips. Those can lead to a partial victory at the end of the ghostly memory game from Anna Oppolzer and Stefan Kloß as, thanks to a three-part scoring system, more than one person can win. Midnight Market for kids aged six and up is the latest addition to the popular Pegasus Spiele wizarding world of Wizardry to the Power of Three, Fabulantica, Mary Magica and Hexenhochhaus.
