30 days of Gaming Fun

Join us for Pegasus Spiele Gaming Days from November 17until December 17, 2023

Friedberg, November 20, 2023: This fall/winter’s Pegasus Spiele Gaming Days take place from November 17 until December 17, 2023. In participating board game stores and gaming clubs, join and play demonstrations of four brand new games: the family games The Same Game and Prey another Day as well as the core games Djinn and Moorland.

It’s time again for Pegasus Spiele Gaming Days, a celebration that takes place twice a year. For one month, participating European board game stores and gaming clubs will run demonstrations of four games published by Pegasus Spiele. A list of all participating stores and clubs can be found on the Pegasus Spiele Gaming Days Info Page. These demonstrations are free and a registration is often unnecessary. Just visit and join the games!

In the family game The Same Game, by Pegasus Spiele partner Edition Spielwiese, players face strange and absurd questions of comparison: How does the movement of a rocking horse compare to a windshield wiper? Are microwaves more important to humanity than diapers? Three to six players aged ten and up will be challenged to relate completely different objects with each other, then discuss the qualities they might share in common. But be careful—one of the answers is a trap! The Same Game is a cooperative game of creative communication developed by Kennerspiel des Jahres-winning author Wolfgang Warsch.

The second participating game, Prey another Day, was also released by Edition Spielwiese. In this family game by Brett J. Gilbert and Matthew Dunstan, two to five players aged eight and up are forest animals hunting for food in the wilderness. Staring at the players around the table, they’ll need to deduce when it is safe to hunt and when to stay hidden. In each round, players secretly choose one of the cards in their hand to play face down—bear, wolf, lynx, owl, or mouse. From largest to smallest and starting with bear, each animal will be called in turn. If alone, that player can declare a smaller animal to hunt and all matching face-down critters are revealed and eliminated. The round ends when only one animal remains, or after three hunts. Survivors receive valuable food markers, i.e. victory points, and the first player to collect 5 points wins!

Those who enjoy more complex games and those who would like to try a game with a more expert level can look forward to Moorland and Djinn. As the promising young members of the Magic Guild, players must capture the invading Djinn before they cause irreparable harm to the Source. Who will be celebrated as the Savior of the Magical Source? Djinn by Benjamin Schwer offers an entertaining and atmospheric gaming experience for up to four players aged twelve and up that requires both forward planning and flexibility. Multiple modular components during setup means each game of Djinn presents a new puzzle to decipher and explore.

In Moorland two to four players aged ten and up carefully tend to the precious habitat of peatlands and the unique plants and animals that rely on its existence. Supply your moor with water by building clever networks of waterways through which indigenous plant life will drift across your landscape. At the end of 12 rounds, players will score points across multiple categories including the abundance of plant life, the biodiversity of animal species, and the length of their longest waterway. Designed by Steffen Bogen, Moorland is a unique resource management game with a compelling puzzle.
