Pegasus Spiele expands Kids Fun series with three new games

Friedberg, Apr. 14, 2022: With Turtle Mania, Happy Hopping and Bubble Trouble, the Kids Fun series from Pegasus Spiele has grown threefold. The new games for families and children aged five and six years and older feature exciting game designs that focus on dexterity and clever game materials.

Honey, the first part of the Kids Fun series, was released in 2021. In this game by Anna Oppolzer and Stefan Kloß, two to four players aged five and up try to collect as much nectar as possible from colourful flowers. A good memory and good hearing will help them find the profitable nectar counters in a meadow of 3D flowers.

Now three new games in the children's series are available: Bubble Trouble, Turtle Mania, and Happy Hopping. While the sea creatures play hide and seek in the coral reef, the terrible shark is up to no good in the nearby canyon. In Bubble Trouble, all players work together to bring as many sea creatures as possible safely back to the reef. To do so, bubbles are thrown across the coral reef mat to land on the animals. Any animal touched by a bubble swims one step back towards the reef. All other animals continue to move towards the shark canyon. When there are no animals left in the playing area, the game ends and players receive points for all animals saved. The game of dexterity for children aged five and up by Michael Kallauch is ideal for up to four players as well as a solo game. An optional time limit adds even more challenge.

On Sun Island, turtles cavort on the sandy beach to enjoy the warm rays. But unfortunately, space is limited. In Turtle Mania by designer Reiner Knizia, players have to pull a turtle out of the bag and try to push it off a jetty onto the beach. However, if other turtles plop into the cold water as a result, then they must be collected. As soon as a player has three turtles of the same colour or any five turtles in front of them, the game ends. The person with the fewest turtles now wins. To win the quick-to-learn game of dexterity for two to four players aged five and up, a steady hand is needed in addition to a bit of luck.

In Happy Hopping by Kirsten Hiese, frogs hop through ponds on the hunt for colourful mosquitoes. An insert turns the game box into a three-dimensional game board. Over eight rounds, two to four players aged six and up literally make their frogs jump with the help of a finger or the wooden hopping sticks. There are two modes of play. In speed rounds players need to be quicker than their opponents, but in normal rounds all frogs can only jump once. Whoever completes the round goal receives mosquito tokens. After the last round, it is revealed which mosquito colour is scored in this game. The player that caught the most mosquitoes of the scoring colour wins!
